Itinerary

Embark on a journey where you traverse the Muong Hoa River, meandering through the picturesque valley adjacent to Sapa town, enveloped by expansive rice paddy terraces. Along the route, you will gain insights into the intricate process of rice cultivation, from the initial sowing of seeds to the eventual harvest, culminating in the presentation of freshly cooked rice on your dinner table. The night spent in Tavan village, an exclusive settlement inhabited by the Giay minority in the Sapa region, promises to be an extraordinary and memorable experience.

Tour Program

Day 1: Departure from Hanoi – Overnight Train to Lao Cai

Commencing at 08:00, our team will pick you up from the hotel lobby in Hanoi, ushering you to the Hanoi Railways station for an overnight train journey to Sapa. The night will be spent onboard the train.

Day 2: Arrival in Lao Cai – Sapa Exploration – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Tavan (B, L, D)

Accommodation: Home-stay

Upon arriving at Lao Cai railways station, a warm welcome awaits, followed by a transfer to Sapa town for breakfast at the hotel. Take a moment to relax before embarking on an exploration of the local market, gradually leaving the bustling town behind. Descending along a road, we approach Cat Cat village, pausing at a waterfall and hydroelectric station along the way. A trek through picturesque rice paddy terraces unfolds, offering breathtaking scenery alongside a narrow river. Y Linh Ho village, inhabited by the Black Hmong minority, provides a tranquil spot for a rest and riverside lunch.

Post-lunch, our journey continues into the enchanting Muong Hoa valley. Passing through Lao Chai village, home to the Black Hmong minority, and Tavan village, inhabited by the Giay minority, we follow a well-trodden trekking route. The night is spent in a local house within the Giay minority community, with the option to swim in the nearby river.

Approximate Duration: 5 hours walking / 1-hour lunch.

Day 3: Su Pan Exploration – Giang Ta Chai – Return to Sapa (B, L)

Accommodation: Holiday Sapa hotel

Commence your day with breakfast at the home-stay before setting out for Giang Ta Chai village, inhabited by the Red Dao minority. Trek through the bamboo forest, nestled within the Hoang Lien National Park, and encounter a refreshing waterfall along the journey, offering a perfect spot to rest and soak in the surroundings.

Following lunch, continue the trek toward Su Pan, a quaint village located by the road. From Su Pan, embark on the return journey to Sapa by car, where you will spend the night. Approximate duration: 1-hour driving / 3 hours walking / 1-hour lunch.

 

 

 

 

Day 4: Sapa Exploration – Heaven Gate – Silver Waterfall – Departure to Hanoi

Enjoy a leisurely morning in town, with a check-out time at 12:00. Gather at the hotel around 14:00 and depart for the Silver Waterfall, situated about a half-hour from Sapa town, offering captivating views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests within Hoang Lien National Park. Take a break at a local farm for tea and conversations, gaining insights into their daily lives.

Continue the journey uphill to the Heavens Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam and the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley. Afterward, return to the hotel for luggage pickup and transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 5: Arrival in Hanoi

Between 04:00 and 04:30, arrive at Hanoi Railways station and transfer to the hotel, marking the end of the services.
