Itinerary Details
Day 1: Sapa – Trekking Tam Duong – Lai Chau. O/N At Homestay In Ban Hon Village (L/D)
Morning Itinerary:
Embark on a morning journey from Sapa town with our guide and driver to Tam Duong – Lai Chau. Revel in the scenic beauty of Tram Ton pass, taking in stunning views of the valleys and navigating the winding roads. Conquer one of North Vietnam’s spectacular passes, a favorite among adventure seekers.
Upon reaching Tam Duong, explore the tea hills and limestone mountains, immersing yourself in the beautiful scenery and encountering the Flower Hmong and Giay minority people. Enjoy local foods at a food stall for lunch.
Afternoon Plans:
Continue your journey to visit Ban Giang village, home to the Giay people. Follow a smaller trail to reach Hon Village, the residence of the Lu minority people. Experience the peaceful atmosphere of this less touristy village, check in for a homestay, have dinner with the family, and engage with the locals to learn more about their culture. Overnight in a stilt-house at Hon village.
Day 2: Ban Hon – Na Tam Village – Than Uyen – Mu Cang Chai. O/N At Homestay In Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)
Morning Itinerary:
Early morning, soak in the mountain village atmosphere and witness the daily life of local people. Have breakfast at home and explore Ban Hon village to gain more insights into minority culture. Continue to Na Tam village for beautiful tea hills and mountain scenery. Head to Than Uyen, a picturesque spot for terrace fields, satisfying your desire for capturing stunning photos. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai center and have lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon & Evening Activities:
In the afternoon, discover Kim Noi village, a beautiful spot for terrace fields, offering a breathtaking view for stunning photos and a glimpse into the local culture. Visit Che Cu Nha Rice Terrace Field of Hmong people with the famous Shoe shapes rice hill. Return to your homestay, have dinner with the family, and spend the evening sharing their life, culture, and learning more about their daily life and work. Overnight at a homestay with a mattress and pillow.
Day 3: Mu Cang Chai Terrace Fields Discover – Back Sapa (B/L)
Morning Plans:
Wake up early for a sunrise photo at San Nhu village, 2 km from Mu Cang Chai town, capturing the beautiful scenery of terrace fields resembling a Horseshoe. Have breakfast on the way. Visit and photograph De Xu Phinh, recognized as the national landscape of Vietnam in 2007, boasting famous and picturesque terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai District.
Continue the trip to enjoy and photograph La Pan Tan village, one of the beautiful sightseeing terraces, and the famous Mam Xoi Hill viewpoint. Special note: A 5km walk from the main road to Mam Xoi hill is required, or you can opt for a support motorbike to reach the village and then a short walking distance. Have lunch at a restaurant.
Afternoon Itinerary:
Leave Mu Cang Chai in the afternoon, traveling back to Sapa town. Pass through Tram Ton pass once again to enjoy more views from your car. Arrive in Sapa late afternoon, concluding an enriching journey through the Lai Chau and Mu Cang Chai terrace fields!
