Day 1: Pick up at the airport

Our driver will warmly welcome you at the airport. Then, they will take you to the hotel for check-in and a short rest.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels

Morning: Ho Chi Minh City
The day begins at our travel office with a visit to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975. Next, we explore several impressive French colonial landmarks, including the Old Central Post Office and the War Remnants Museum. Afterward, we visit the iconic City Hall. The tour concludes with a relaxing stop at Ben Thanh Market, where you can browse and shop for a wide variety of items.

Afternoon: Cu Chi Tunnels
Located 60 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi is a must-see destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. The 200-km network of tunnels became legendary for its vital role during the war. These tunnels served as functioning underground cities, featuring trap doors, living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens.

Today, ducks and water buffalo roam peacefully in the rivers beside the road, creating a sharp contrast to the area’s violent history. The tranquil rural rice paddies disguise the devastation caused by bombing and mines. Yet, ample evidence of the intense battles fought here during the 1960s remains, as Cu Chi was designated a “Free Target Zone.”

Our tour starts with a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. Visitors then spend about an hour exploring the tunnels. Afterward, enjoy tea and cassava (a staple of guerrilla fighters during the war) before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (L/D)

Morning:
Enjoy breakfast before starting your journey:

• 07:30 AM: Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. Relax and take in the scenic drive along the National Highway, bordered by lush green rice fields.
• 09:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Arrive in My Tho and board a wooden motorboat for a 20-minute ride to Unicorn Island. As you cruise along the riverbank, you’ll pass natural creeks, a bustling fisherman’s port, and stilt houses.
• Visit a bee farm where you can savor a delicious cup of authentic honey tea. Take a leisurely walk through quiet villages and observe the rural life of the Mekong Delta.
• Stop at a seasonal orchard to enjoy a variety of tropical fruits while listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.
• Continue your journey by horse cart or electric car, soaking in the peaceful village scenery.
• Experience a 15-minute trip on a small rowboat, gliding through picturesque canals lined with water coconut trees. Enjoy the fresh air and the serene atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Return to the larger motorboat to cruise along a canal flanked by seasonal orchards.

• Visit a village renowned for its coconut candy and handcrafted items made from coconut trees. Learn how local artisans create a variety of useful products from coconuts, a resource integral to their lives.

Lunch:
Savor a delicious meal at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:
After lunch, return to My Tho by motorboat and meet the bus to continue your journey to Can Tho. Upon arrival:

• Check in at the hotel and enjoy dinner.
• Free time to explore the bustling Can Tho market.

Overnight: Stay at the hotel in Can Tho.

Day 4: Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

Start the day with a leisurely boat trip to explore the scenic tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River). Next, visit the Cai Răng Floating Market, the most vibrant and bustling market in the entire region.

Ever wondered how Vietnamese vermicelli soup is made? Stop to see the process firsthand, and learn about this beloved local dish.

The boat then takes you to a local market where you can meet friendly locals and enjoy a walk around the village.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Southern Zen Monastery. Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery, featuring Ly-Tran dynasty-style architecture, is an ideal place to escape the city’s hustle and bustle, find peace, and connect with Buddhist teachings.

10:30 AM: Depart for Ho Chi Minh City. Stop for lunch at Mekong Restop along the way.

4:00 PM: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. Check in at the hotel and relax.

Overnight: Stay at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Free time for shopping – Transfer to the airport

Morning:
Enjoy free time for shopping and exploring at your leisure.

Later, our driver will pick you up from your hotel two hours before your boarding time to transfer you to the airport. Say goodbye as your tour concludes.
