From here, you’ll start the challenging yet rewarding trek through dense, untouched forests, crossing small streams and bamboo groves, as you ascend to the 2,800m mark.

The final stretch is a true test of your determination, but the reward? Standing triumphantly on the summit of Fansipan, the “Roof of Indochina.” Take in the incredible 360° views, snap those once-in-a-lifetime photos, and enjoy your well-deserved lunch at the top.

The descent offers its own beauty, and you can choose to return along the same route or explore an alternate path down the mountain. Don’t worry if the trek gets tough—this is your journey. NOTES: 

• In case foreign tourists want to conquer Fansipan peak, all must register to buy a tour and have a certificate of permission to climb from the forest ranger in Hoang Lien National Park. If you go freely without a permit, you will be arrested and fined. 
• You have two choices for going down: 
• By cable car 
• By walking
