ITINERARY DETAILS

Night 1: Hanoi Train Station to Lao Cai (-/-/-)

Commence your journey as our Vietnam Local Adventures’s tour guide meets you at your Hanoi hotel. Transfer to Hanoi train station and embark on a night train bound for Lao Cai.

Day 1: Lao Cai – Trek from Bac Ha to Ta Van Chu (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Upon arrival at Lao Cai train station, our tour guide and driver will welcome you. Proceed on a 70km journey to Bac Ha. Enjoy breakfast en route before commencing the trekking adventure. Traverse the Flower ethnic minority area, engaging in conversations with the locals amid beautiful landscapes. Indulge in a picnic lunch in a shaded spot. Arrive at a homestay in Ta Van Chu village, where you’ll explore the H’mong ethnic village. Dinner will be served at a local family’s home, and you’ll spend the night on a stilt-house.

Distance: Approximate 20km, Altitude: 1350m, Elevation: 350m, Trekking Hours: Approximate 5-6 hours

Day 2: Trek from Ta Van Chu to Lung Phinh (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Following breakfast at the homestay, trek downhill, passing morning rice terraces. Descend to Can Cau and then ascend hills to Lu Than village, eventually arriving in Lung Phinh. Stay overnight in the home of the Phu La ethnic minority.

Distance: Approximate 17 km, Altitude: 1150m, Elevation: 300m, Trekking Hours: Approximate 5 hours

Day 3: Lung Phinh to Na Lo (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Commence the day with breakfast at the homestay, initiating another day of trekking. Trek to Lung Phinh market, relishing the vibrant market scenes and the colorful attire of the local H’mong ethnic minority. Lunch awaits at the mountain’s summit. Descend to Thai Giang Pho village and ultimately reach Na Lo, where you’ll spend the night in the home of the Tay ethnic minority.

Distance: Approximate 19 km, Altitude: 920m, Elevation: 300m, Trekking Hours: Approximate 5-6 hours

Day 4: Na Lo to Ngai So to Nam Mon (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Commence the day with a trek from the homestay, heading to the starting point for an uphill trek to Ngai Thau, followed by a descent to Ngai So where lunch is served. Continue downhill to Coc Cai Ha, a village of the Nung Tribe, and then reach another Tay ethnic village via rice fields. Spend the night in a stilt-house.

Day 5: Nam Mon Ha to Nam Lan to Nam Ke to Coc Ly Market to Lao Cai Train Station (Breakfast/Lunch/-)

Embark on a trek to Coc Ly Market, resembling a small festival showcasing the rich culture of northern Vietnam. Arrive at Bao Nhai for lunch, followed by a car transfer to Lao Cai train station. Board a night train bound for Hanoi.

Distance: Approximate 10 km, Altitude: 450m, Elevation: 150m, Trekking Hours: Approximate 3 hours.

Day 6: Hanoi Arrival (-/-/-)

Upon your arrival at Hanoi train station, our team will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi. Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. The tour concludes.
