Day 1: Hanoi – Transfer to Hanoi train station – Night train to Lao Cai

Day 2: Lao Cai – Cao Son Wednesday Market – Sapa

Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Night train to Hanoi

Day 4: Arrive Hanoi – Departure.

ITINERARY DETAILS:

Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi – Transfer to Hanoi train station – Night train to Lao Cai (-/-/Dinner)

At 8:00 PM, our tour guide and driver from vietnamlocaladventures will pick you up from your hotel. You will be transferred to Hanoi train station to catch the night train bound for Lao Cai.

Stay overnight on the Chapa Deluxe Train with a soft sleeper in a 4-berth cabin.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Explore Cao Son Wednesday Market – Sapa (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Upon your arrival at Lao Cai Railways station at 06:30 AM, our tour guide will warmly welcome you.

At 7:00 AM, enjoy breakfast in Lao Cai city before embarking on a drive uphill to Cao Son Wednesday Market. This vibrant market, set against picturesque rolling mountains, showcases an array of local products and handicrafts, attracting Flower Hmong (Red Hmong), Phu La, Black Dao, and Chinese traders.

Take time to wander through the market, absorbing the sights, sounds, and flavors. You may even engage in some local business transactions.

After the market experience, have lunch in Muong Khung and visit pineapple and tea plantations before heading back to Sapa town. Arrive in Sapa at approximately 15:00 PM, check into Sunny Mountain Hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure for shopping and relaxation.

At 18:30 PM, reconvene with our tour guide for a short walk to Red Dao House Restaurant.

At 19:00 PM, savor dinner at Red Dao House Restaurant, strategically located in the heart of Sapa. The restaurant, designed in the architectural style of Dao Do ethnic stilted houses, exudes luxury and warmth. Indulge in a culinary experience featuring both Asian and Western cuisines while enjoying panoramic views of Sapa town enveloped in fog and the majestic Ham Rong Mountain.

Stay overnight at Sunny Mountain Hotel – 3 Stars+ in a Superior Double Room.

Day 3: Explore Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Night train to Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

Commencing at 8:30 AM, embark on a journey along the descending road paralleling Cau May Street (6 km). Along the way, marvel at the rice terraces veiled in the morning mist, an awe-inspiring spectacle.

Navigate a petite trail, traversing the Muong Hoa River and meandering through well-tended rice terraces on the route to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Progressing amidst the vibrant rice terraces, you’ll arrive at the Giay people’s village of Ta Van. Continuing the trek along the Muong Hoa River, cross a small suspension bridge approximately 2 km from the settlement, where a captivating array of rock carvings awaits exploration.

These carvings showcase captivating depictions of people, stilt houses, and ornate patterns.

At 12:00 PM, relish lunch at a restaurant in Ta Van village.

Following lunch, traverse a bamboo forest to reach Giang Ta Chai, a village inhabited by the Red Dao ethnic minority. After a rejuvenating rest near a waterfall, ascend uphill to a road where a waiting car facilitates the journey back to Sapa.

By 17:30 PM, transfer back to Lao Cai train station. Dine at a restaurant in Lao Cai City.

Embark on the night train to Hanoi at 20:30 PM, with accommodation on the Chapa Deluxe Train in a soft sleeper 4-berth cabin.

Day 4: Arrive in Hanoi – Departure (Breakfast/-/-).

Transfer via: International flight – Your own arrangement.

Arrive at Hanoi train station early morning around 5 AM, and then be transferred to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Enjoy free leisure time at your discretion. End of services.
