Explore Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and Tam Coc – Day trip

Hoa Lu served as Vietnam’s inaugural capital from the 10th century. Renowned for its exceptional natural beauty, the region features limestone mountains whose magnificence is frequently acclaimed to surpass that of Ha Long Bay. It’s often aptly referred to as the “Ha Long Bay on land,” establishing Hoa Lu and Tam Coc as a captivating counterpart to the renowned bay.

Detailed Itinerary:

Embark on our one-day exploration of Hoa Lu ancient capital and Tam Coc, commencing from Hanoi at 8 AM. Following a 2.5-hour southward journey, we arrive at Tam Coc wharf. Boarding the boat during this tranquil period, we relish a serene ride along the river, navigating through three tunnel caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba grottoes. These caves are adorned with captivating stalactites and stalagmites, exhibiting diverse shapes and colors reminiscent of sparkling gemstones. After a delightful 2-hour boat ride, we return to the shore for lunch at a nearby local restaurant.

Post-lunch, our exploration continues with a visit to the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, housing the renowned temples of Kings Dinh and Le. Subsequently, we embark on the journey back to Hanoi, concluding the tour around 6:30 PM.
