Embark on a 5-day journey with our Green Discovery Indochina team to explore Ha Giang, the Land of Beauty and Ethnic Minorities. Our professional tour guide and skilled driver will lead you to lesser-known, culturally rich destinations. Trek through the jungle, witness breathtaking views, and immerse yourself in the unique ethnic cultures by exploring vibrant markets and enjoying an authentic home-stay experience. This expedition offers the opportunity to visit numerous hill tribe villages, encountering diverse ethnic minorities such as White Hmong, Green Hmong, Lolo, Dao Tien, Red Dao, and Tay.

Day 1: Drive Hanoi– Ha Giang

Day 2: Ha Giang – Yen Minh

Day 3: Yen Minh – Dong Van – Meo Vac

Day 4: Meo Vac – Ha Giang

Day 5: Ha Giang – Hanoi

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi to Ha Giang Expedition (L/D)

Commence your journey with Green Discovery Indochina at 7:45 AM as you meet our experienced tour guide and driver. Depart for Ha Giang, with an anticipated arrival in the early afternoon, around 14:00 PM. Check into a local village house upon arrival and enjoy a delicious lunch. Following lunch, embark on a brief trek around the village, engaging in conversations with local villagers to gain insights into the culture of the Tay ethnic group. Conclude the day with a dinner served at the village, and rest for the night at the home-stay in Ha Giang.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 2: Ha Giang to Yen Minh Expedition (B/L/D)

Following breakfast at the stilt house, begin the day with a brief visit to the Ha Giang museum before embarking on the journey towards Dong Van stone plateau. Along the way, make stops for a trek through the pine-covered hills and a visit to a Red Dao village. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant during the trek. As the afternoon progresses, reach Yen Minh town and check into a local guesthouse for an overnight stay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 3: Yen Minh to Dong Van Rocky Plateau and Meo Vac Exploration (B)

At 8:15, resume our road journey toward the Dong Van karst plateau. Along the way, make a stop to visit a Hmong village in Lung Cam and explore the Vuong family residence, still referred to as the “Palace of Hmong King.” After lunch and a brief break, continue the drive towards Meo Vac town. En route, take stops at various points to admire the scenic beauty and capture photos of Ma Pi Leng pass. Upon arrival in Meo Vac in the afternoon, check into our local hotel for a rest. In the late afternoon, seize the opportunity to visit a Hmong village near the town. Dinner and overnight stay in Meo Vac.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 4: Meo Vac to Ha Giang Return Journey (B, D)

Following breakfast, commence our return road trip to Ha Giang town. Upon reaching Quan Ba and Yen Minh, take a break in Lung Tam village, a Hmong community where you can observe the traditional art of brocade weaving. After having lunch in Quan Ba, proceed with our journey back to Ha Giang. Check into a stilt house for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 5: Ha Giang to Hanoi Journey (B)

Following breakfast, embark on a full-day drive back to Hanoi. A local restaurant en route will provide lunch. The journey concludes upon arrival in Hanoi around mid-afternoon.

What’s included?

• Entrance Fees: To scenic spots as listed in the itinerary.

• Meals: All meals as specified in the itinerary with authentic Vietnamese food.

• Private Transfers:   Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver and English-speaking guide (as listed above). Your comfort is our priority!

• Guide: As outlined in the itinerary an Hmong English-speaking guide and driver will be provided in each city they will remain with you throughout your time in that city. A new guide and a new driver will meet you at each city on your tour, to provide you with the best local knowledge available.

• Hotels: Hotel fees are based on two people sharing with Double (Twin) Rooms. All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily Western or Local breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.

• Home-stay: Basic home-stay, share the house with local people. Daily breakfast is served with two options: Western or local breakfast.

What’s excluded?

• Excess Baggage Charges. Passengers holding an adult fare or half fare ticket are entitled to a free baggage allowance of 20kg, for economy class. Total weight of carryon baggage each passenger may not exceed 5kg. The size may not exceed 20x40x 55cm.

• Personal Expenses: Expenses of a purely personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone calls, optional activities, sightseeing or meals which are not included in the tour itinerary.
