Embark on the exclusive 3-day, 2-night Hung Thoong Exploration Tour, a thrilling journey deep into Phong Nha’s untouched wilderness. Trek through pristine jungles, conquer Hung and Tron caves, zipline into the mysterious Nightmare Sinkhole, and rappel down to reveal the breathtaking Thung Cave and Midway Gorge Floating Lake.

This once-in-a-lifetime adventure blends cave exploration, adrenaline, and natural beauty, offering travelers an unforgettable taste of Vietnam’s hidden underground world.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Phong Nha – 20 Quyet Thang road – Nightmare sinkhole (60m zipline) – Hung cave – Campsite

08:00: Group pick-up and transfers to the Jungle Boss headquarters for a briefing on the
Itinerary and safety regulations.
08:30: Depart along 20 Quyet Thang road to the starting point at km17.
09:00: Begin the jungle trek to explore Hung Thoong valley.
11:00-11:30: Lunch at Nightmare sinkhole.
11:30-13:30: Explore Nightmare sinkhole and experience the thrilling 60m zipline.
13:30: Continue trekking through the jungle towards Hung cave.
14:00-16:00: Explore Hung cave, then continue trekking to the campsite.
16:30: Set up camp at the campsite.
18:00-21:00: Enjoy dinner with local cuisine and rest.

Day 2: Campsite – Nuoc Mooc lake – Thung cave – Tron cave

08:00-08:30: Breakfast and preparation for exploring Thung cave.
08:30-09:30: Trek along Hung Thoong stream to Thung sinkhole.
09:30-11:30: Experience a 25m rope rappelling to explore Thung cave.
11:30-12:00: Lunch at Thung cave sinkhole and take photo.
12:00-12:15: Explore 40m of Midway gorge.
12:15-13:00: Swim 40m to explore and take photos at the Floating lake.
13:00-14:30: Explore the rest of Thung cave.
14:30-15:00: Rappel 20m using the safety rope system.
15:00-15:30: Swim and freshen up at Nuoc Mooc lake.
15:30-16:30: Come back to the campsite and start to explore Tron cave (600m swimming, 600m walking).
17:00: Return to the campsite.
18:00-21:00: Enjoy dinner with our local team at campsite.

Day 3: Campsite – Ma Da lake – Ho Chi Minh Road

08:00: Breakfast at the campsite.
09:00: Start trekking through Ma Da valley.
12:00: Have lunch and swim at Ma Da lake.
15:00: Arrive at Ho Chi Minh road. The vehicle picks up the group and returns to the Jungle
Boss headquarters. End of the tour.

WHAT TO BRING 

• 02-03 sets of long trousers & long-sleeved-shirt to avoid poison vies and mosquitoes
• 02 sets of changing clothes for the nights at basecamp
• Swimwear
• 02 pairs of long socks
• Sandals or flip-flops & extra clothes 
• Dry bag (optional) 
• Hiking shoes (optional) or can borrow from Jungle Boss
• Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, toothpaste, toothbrusher
