DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Departure from Hanoi to Ninh Binh – Cycling from Hoa Lu to Cuc Phuong National Park (-/L/D)

Commence your journey with a hotel pick-up at 8:00 am, followed by a comfortable 110 km transfer in approximately 2 hours via a mini-van to Ninh Binh. Begin your cycling adventure along scenic countryside roads, passing through Hoa Lu, an ancient citadel from the 10th century. Take a possible stop to delve into its historical significance. Continue the ride amidst limestone peaks, meandering through rice paddies, and traversing rural villages until you reach Tam Coc.

Upon arrival in Tam Coc, relish a delightful lunch at a local restaurant offering picturesque views of the boat pier—an excellent opportunity for memorable photos. After a brief van transfer, embark on a 2-hour cycling exploration of Ninh Binh along the farms. Reach your destination, Cuc Phuong National Park, where the bikes are loaded onto the van for a transfer to the park center. Spend the night in a modest bungalow within the park, enjoying dinner and overnight accommodations.

 

 

 

Day 2: Van Long Nature Reserve – Cuc Phuong – Return to Hanoi (B/L/-)

Embark on a morning cycling session that involves challenging ascents deeper into the lush jungles. Although more demanding than the previous day, the reward lies in immersing yourself in the fresh natural surroundings, accompanied by the melodies of birds. Consider a brief stroll to gain insights into the diverse plant and animal life before returning to the gate for a visit to the Primates Rescue Center.

Transition from the Rescue Center to Van Long via van, where lunch awaits. Following the meal, indulge in a captivating 1.5-hour exploration of Van Long Nature Reserve aboard local bamboo boats. Traverse the swampland, featuring limestone peaks, caves, and potential sightings of various bird species and the Delacur langur. Conclude the tour by returning to Hanoi, with your arrival at the hotel expected around 6 pm.
