Moreover, they serve as meeting grounds for young individuals who engage in singing love songs, playing pan-pipes, and mouth organs.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1 – Embark on an overnight train journey from Hanoi city to Sapa.

Day 2 – Explore Can Cau market (Saturday) and visit Ban Pho village.

Day 3 – Discover Bac Ha market (Sunday), Trung Do, and embark on a boat trip to Coc Ly. Return to Hanoi by train.

Tour Program:

Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai (Night Train)

At 7:00 pm, we’ll pick you up from your Hanoi hotel and transfer you to Hanoi train station for the overnight train to Lao Cai province. Experience the enchanting overnight train journey.

Day 2: Can Cau Market – Ban Pho Village (B, L)

Arrive at Lao Cai station at 6:00 am. After a bit of morning exercise, get ready for our trip. We’ll transfer you to Can Cau market, a small market nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains and only 7 km from China. The market showcases the distinctive cultural features of minorities in remote mountainous areas of Vietnam. Witness boys and girls adorned in colorful costumes, representing the vibrant hues of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of finding their life partners, exchanging conversations and enjoying cups of wine. Bid farewell to the market and transfer to Bac Ha town. En route, visit a Flower H’mong village and then check into a hotel in Bac Ha. In the afternoon, take a walk to Ban Pho village of Nung and Flower H’mong, situated in a small valley where villagers cultivate vegetables and fruit trees. The famous local fruit is plum. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and have dinner at a local restaurant.

 

 

Day 3: Bac Ha Market – Trung Do – Boat Trip to Coc Ly (B, L)

Start the day with a morning coffee and a short walk to visit the old castle of the former H’mong King, offering a panoramic view of the town. Explore the bustling Bac Ha market with its diverse array of ethnic minorities, including Flower Hmong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay, and Nung, engaging in buying and selling activities. After spending the morning at the market, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, drive downhill for approximately half an hour and commence a short walk to Trung Do village, belonging to the Tay minority. Visit a traditional Tay house before embarking on a boat for an upstream cruise on the Chay River, experiencing picturesque scenes along the riverbanks. Cruise downstream to the Bao Nhai bridge, where you board the car for the journey back to Lao Cai station. Catch the overnight train to Hanoi.
