Itinerary Details

Morning: Into the Wild

07:30–08:30 AM – Rise and shine! We’ll pick you up at our headquarters, where you’ll be equipped with all the necessary gear for an action-packed day. Get ready for an adventure like no other!

09:00–10:30 AM – Enjoy a breathtaking drive along what’s considered the most scenic stretch of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. Rolling mountains, misty valleys, and lush jungles—this is Vietnam’s wild beauty at its finest.

10:30–11:30 AM – Our first stop is Hoa Son Village, home to the Chut ethnic group, one of Vietnam’s most isolated communities. As we cross through this restricted area, you’ll get a rare glimpse into their unique, traditional lifestyle, a world untouched by modern influence. It’s a humbling and eye-opening experience.

Midday: A Feast Before the Challenge

11:00–01:30 PM – After following a jungle trail alongside the river, we reach the majestic entrance of Ruc Mon Cave. And what better way to prepare for the adventure ahead than with a delicious BBQ feast? Whether you’re a meat lover or a vegetarian, we’ve got something for everyone. After lunch, take 15–30 minutes to relax, soak in the surroundings, and mentally gear up for the adventure of a lifetime.

Afternoon: The Ultimate Cave Exploration

01:00–01:30 PM – Time to dive in—literally! We start by swimming 2 km through the crystal-clear underground river, an exhilarating way to enter the depths of Ruc Mon Cave. The journey then takes us climbing across ancient rock layers and marveling at the towering limestone formations that have taken millions of years to form.

But that’s just the beginning! We’ll explore three different levels of the dry cave, each one revealing more stunning mineral deposits, giant stalactites, and hidden chambers that will leave you in absolute awe. Every turn in this cave is a natural masterpiece!

Evening: The Journey Back

04:00 PM – After an epic caving experience, we’ll emerge back into daylight, where our porter team awaits with freshly brewed coffee, cold drinks, and tasty cakes—the perfect way to recharge. Sit back, enjoy the refreshments, and soak in the last moments of this wild adventure.

05:30–06:30 PM – Time to head back! Our bus will take you back to Phong Nha, giving you time to reflect on the incredible journey you’ve just completed. As the jungle fades into the distance, one thing is certain—Ruc Mon Cave is an experience you’ll never forget!

Tour includes

• English-speaking guide and professional porter team
• Transportation
• Tour equipment: helmet, headlight, gloves, socks, trekking sandals ,towel life jacket, etc.
• Waterproof bag for the camera and phone
• Lunch, snacks, and drinks; a refillable bottle of water; first aid.

Necessary to bring

• Swimwear
• One set of clothes to change after the trip.
• We highly recommend you use the hiking boost, but in case you don’t have one or you don’t want your shoes to get wet and muddy, trekking sandals are available to borrow.
• Personal items: mosquito spray, sunscreen, glasses, hats, etc.

Watch out for

• Poison Ivies: itchy, skin burned!
• Leeches—blood-sucking worms—carry no disease—no infection!
• Sharp and spiky rocks!
• Way more muddy and slippery when it’s wet!

Note that you should wear long-sleeved shirts on the tour to avoid squeezing, or bumping into thorny, itchy plants during the trip. 

At our office, we rent long-sleeved shirts. If you don’t have one or can’t prepare it in time, you can rent it at the office.

Important Notes!

• Due to weather conditions, the guide may change the route to ensure the clients’ safety! 
• Please check and make sure you understand the details of the tour that you will join to ensure you get the value you expect from the journey! 
• Don’t bring jewelry or any other valuable accessories! 
• Long sleeves and long pants are highly recommended due to the leeches and poison ivy on the way!
