Itinerary Details
Day 1: Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (15KM)
Our adventure begins at 9 AM, when your guide meets you at your hotel in Sapa. We’ll start with a relaxed walk around this charming mountain town, visiting the bustling local market, the historic stone cathedral, and meeting friendly ethnic minority locals in their vibrant traditional clothing.
From there, we’ll set off into the stunning Muong Hoa Valley, beginning our trek through picturesque villages like Cat Cat, Y Linh Ho, and Lao Chai, home to the H’mong people. The breathtaking views of terraced rice fields and towering mountains will keep you inspired every step of the way.
After a hearty local lunch, we’ll continue our hike to Ta Van Village, where you’ll stay overnight with a welcoming Giay family. Here, you’ll get a firsthand glimpse into their daily life and traditions.
As evening falls, the real fun begins—your guide and host family will teach you how to prepare a delicious Vietnamese dinner. It’s a hands-on experience you’ll love! After dinner, the rest of the evening is yours to relax, chat with your hosts, or simply soak in the peaceful village atmosphere. It’s the perfect end to a memorable first day.
Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Ban Ho (16KM)
After a warm breakfast with your hosts, we’ll lace up our boots and head uphill, trekking through serene rice fields and charming small villages. Soon, we’ll enter a peaceful bamboo forest, where a waterfall invites us to take a refreshing break. Our journey then leads to Giang Ta Chai Village, perched on a hill with stunning views of the Muong Hoa River. This village is home to the Red Zao people, known for their vibrant attire and rich traditions.
Next, we’ll continue to Su Pan Village, where you’ll visit a local handicraft center—a hub for H’mong and Zao artisans showcasing their incredible craftsmanship. Nearby, we’ll enjoy a well-earned lunch and take some time to rest and soak in the tranquil surroundings.
When you’re ready, we’ll embark on the final stretch to Ban Ho Village. Here, you’ll spend the night with a welcoming Tay family in their traditional stilt house. As evening falls, they’ll prepare a delicious dinner for you, and if you’re up for it, you can share a glass (or two!) of their famous “Happy Water.” It’s the perfect way to end a rewarding day of exploration and connection.
Day 3: Ban Ho – Nam Toong – Sapa (11KM)
Your final day begins with a short trek to Nam Toong, a remote village of the Red Dao people. This is your chance to learn about their fascinating traditions and explore their peaceful way of life. If the weather is kind, you can even take a refreshing swim in a nearby stream—a perfect way to soak up the serenity of the countryside.
We’ll return to the homestay for a hearty lunch, where you can enjoy your last moments in the welcoming embrace of village life. Afterward, we’ll make our way back to Sapa, where the tour concludes.
