Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Departure from Hanoi to Lao Cai by Night Train

At 08:00, our team will pick you up from the hotel lobby in Hanoi and transfer you to the Hanoi Railways station for the night train journey to Sapa. Enjoy your overnight stay on the train.

Day 2: Exploration from Lao Cai to Sin Chai B via Sapa and Thanh Phu (B, L, D)

Accommodation: Home-stay

Upon your arrival at Lao Cai railways station, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Sapa town for breakfast at the hotel. After a relaxing break, we’ll move on to Thanh Phu Bridge. Embark on a trek along the scenic Ngoi Bo River for an hour, followed by an uphill hike to Muong Bo Village at the heart of Thanh Phu Commune. Lunch will be served in a local house in Muong Bo Village.

Following lunch, our journey continues to Sin Chai B village, home to the Red Dao people. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a comfortable bamboo hut within the village.

Approximate travel time: 1-hour drive / 5 hours trekking / 1-hour lunch.

 

 

 

Day 3: Exploration from Sin Chai B to Sapa via Nam Nhiu, My Son, and Nam Toong (B, L)

Accommodation: Holiday Sapa Hotel

Kickstarting the day with a delicious breakfast, we initiate our journey by descending downhill towards My Son village, inhabited by the Xafo ethnic minority—a smaller ethnic group in Northern Vietnam. After a pleasant one and a half hours of walking, we reach the Red Dao village of Nam Toong, where we pause for a satisfying lunch.

In the afternoon, our adventure continues towards Ban Ho village, offering the opportunity for a refreshing swim (please heed our guide’s advice before taking a plunge). Subsequently, our vehicle will transfer us back to Sapa from Ban Ho. Enjoy an overnight stay in Sapa.

Approximate travel time: 1-hour drive / 5 hours walk / 1-hour lunch.

 

Day 4: Sapa Discovery – Lao Chai, Ta Van – Lao Cai – Night Train to Hanoi (B)

Following breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a brief journey southward toward Muong Hoa valley. Commencing our walk, we descend into the valley, home to the largest rice paddy terraces in the Sapa region. The guide will share intriguing information about rice cultivation. If our visit falls between May and October, we’ll witness the vital activities of planting and harvesting in the daily lives of the locals. The walk guides us from Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of the Giay minority, with a visit to the local Catholic Church. After exploring Ta Van, the car will transport us back to Sapa.

Approximate travel time: 1-hour drive / 2 hours walk.

In the afternoon, we return to Lao Cai for our night train journey back to Hanoi. Enjoy an overnight stay on the train.

Day 5: Arrival in Hanoi

Between 04:00 and 04:30, your arrival at Hanoi Railways station is anticipated. A transfer to your hotel will be arranged, marking the conclusion of our services.
