This excursion entails a captivating one-way boat journey along the Chay River, followed by a brief stroll leading to the Tay minority village of Trung Do.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi – Night Train to Lao Cai

At 8:00 PM, be picked up from the hotel lobby in Hanoi and transferred to Hanoi Railways station for the night train journey to Sapa. Overnight accommodation is on the train.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Explore Sapa – Cat Cat – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L)

Around 06:30 AM, upon arrival at Lao Cai Railways station, receive a warm welcome from a local guide. Transfer to Sapa, where a simple breakfast awaits at a local restaurant. In the morning, navigate through the bustling Sapa market before leaving the town behind, descending to Cat Cat village. Pause at a waterfall and hydroelectric station before trekking along a dirt trail through rice paddy terraces, enjoying spectacular scenery along a narrow river. Arrive at Y Linh Ho village of the Black Hmong minority for a rest and picnic lunch. Post-lunch, head to Muong Hoa valley, passing through Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong and Tavan village of the Giay minority via a popular trekking route. In the evening, return to Sapa from Tavan by car. Overnight in Sapa town.

Approx: 0.5-hour driving / 5 hours walking / 1 hour lunch.

 

 

 

 

Day 3: Sapa – Explore Coc Ly Market – Lao Cai – Night Train to Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and travel by car to Coc Ly market. Situated by the Chay River flowing from China, this market is a gathering place for Flower Hmong, Black Zao, and Tay minorities every Tuesday morning. Following the market visit, embark on a downstream boat journey, enjoying scenic views of beautiful caves and riverbank life. Have lunch at a village and explore Trung Do village of the Tay minority, with a stop at a traditional Tay house for tea. Continue downstream until reaching Bao Nhai Bridge, where a car awaits for the journey back to Lao Cai. Overnight accommodation is on the train.

Approx: 5 hours driving / 1.5 hours boat cruise / 0.5-hour walking / 1-hour lunch

Day 4: Hanoi – Arrival

Upon arrival at Hanoi Railways station, receive a warm welcome and transfer to the hotel. The trip concludes.
