Itinerary Details

Day 1: Lao Cai – Bac Ha Town – Trek To Na Lo – Thai Giang Pho – Nhay Phong Cho – Lau Thi Ngai – Ban Pho (B/L/D)

Commencing the Journey:

Upon your arrival at Lao Cai train station, our guide and driver extend a warm welcome. Following a night spent on the train, refresh yourself with a morning shower and partake in breakfast at a local restaurant.

Embarking on the Adventure:

Travel 60km to Bac Ha town from Lao Cai, where your trek begins. Covering a 6km route, traverse the Na Lo village of the Tay people before reaching Thai Giang Pho village. Marvel at the breathtaking terrace fields and mountainous landscapes.

Unveiling Cultural Gems:

Continue the trek to Nhay Phong Cho village, the abode of the Phu La minority people, offering panoramic views of Bac Ha town. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route.

Afternoon & Evening Exploration:

Embark on foot to Lau Thi Ngai village of the Flower H’mong minority people, witnessing diverse scenery and their fieldwork. Proceed to Ban Pho village, the home of the Flower H’Mong people, where you’ll spend the night. Share dinner with a local family and overnight in a stilt house.

Day 2: Extended Trek – Ban Pho – Quan Din Ngai – Hoang Thu Pho – Bac Ha Town – Lao Cai (B/L)

Morning Adventures:

Experience the morning tranquility of the mountain village, soaking in the fresh air and local life. Trek for about an hour from Ban Pho village to Quan Din Ngai village of Flower H’Mong people. Engage with the locals to learn about their daily life and culture. Enjoy scenic views along the 2-hour trek to Hoang Thu Pho village, where a small waterfall awaits. Indulge in a picnic lunch with a view of terraced fields.

Afternoon Exploration:

Explore the village in the afternoon before returning to Ban Pho village. Head back to Bac Ha Town and make your way to Lao Cai train station. Take the night train to Hanoi or continue your journey to Sapa for further exploration of this renowned town.

Special Note: This trekking route is weather-dependent. In case of unfavorable conditions, we will offer an alternative easy trek near Bac Ha town.
