Itinerary Details

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau Valley. Overnight At Homestay In Mai Chau (L/D)

Morning Activities:

Commencing at 8:00 AM, our guide and driver will collect you from your Hanoi hotel, embarking on a 4-hour journey to Mai Chau. Around noon, you’ll reach Pom Coong village, home to the White Thai ethnic group. Check into the homestay and receive a warm welcome from our host. Lunch will be served at a local family’s residence.

Afternoon & Evening Activities:

Take some time to rest and relish the fresh air in the village. Embark on a walk around the village, immersing yourself in the local way of life. Learn traditional silk weaving with an antique loom in the family courtyard and observe daily activities such as buffalo-assisted land preparation, rice planting, and corn or vegetable harvesting.

The evening provides an opportunity to interact with local minorities, gaining insight into their culture and lifestyle. Dinner will be served at the family’s stilt house in the basic yet clean conditions. Overnight in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Nghia Lo. Overnight In Nghia Lo (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Enjoy breakfast with the family. Rise early to relish the sounds of mountain life and the refreshing mountain air.

Leave the picturesque Mai Chau valley and head to the Moc Chau plateau, renowned for its tea plantations, favorable climate, and dairy industry. Continue your journey to Phu Yen valley and have lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Stunning View Of Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai. Overnight In Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)

After having breakfast at the hotel, bid farewell to Nghia Lo, embarking on another exciting day of Mu Cang Chai Trekking Tours. Stop at Lim Mong village in Nghia Lo to further explore the beauty of the rice field valley.

Transfer to Tu Le, a charming town nestled in a stunning valley at the base of Khau Pha Pass. Khau Pha Pass, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful, offers picturesque views of mountains, rice terraces, and hill tribe villages. Embark on an exhilarating Mu Cang Chai trekking route to explore the villages of the Thai and H’mong people. Lunch is served in a local home.

Afternoon & Evening Activities:

This afternoon, enjoy a captivating drive through Khau Pha Pass to Mu Cang Chai Town and then continue to a homestay near Mu Cang Chai Town. Take an easy walk to explore the villages and make friends with local residents.

Hop on a motorbike to visit Mam Xoi Hill, where you can revel in the scenic beauty of terrace fields and witness the sunset over the hill—one of the most breathtaking sights in Mu Cang Chai.

The evening is free for you to enjoy dinner with your local host. Overnight in Mu Cang Chai.

Day 4: Explore Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai. Overnight In Mu Cang Chai (BLD)

Morning Activities:

Commence the day with a family breakfast. Today unfolds as a thrilling adventure in Mu Cang Chai. Head to the trekking point for an exhilarating journey through the breathtaking mountainous terrain of Mu Cang Chai. Your knowledgeable tour guide will lead you to the most scenic spots in the entire area, where you’ll revel in stunning views of rice terraces, cornfields, and the local villages.

Begin your exploration in San Nhu village, renowned for its famous Horseshoes “Mong Ngua” terrace fields. Proceed to Kim Noi village for an 8km trek to a viewpoint, offering captivating scenery and terrace fields. Capture the beauty of Che Cu Nha Rice Terrace Field, shaped like shoes, belonging to the Hmong people. Continue your photographic journey at De Xu Phinh, recognized as a national landscape in 2007, boasting some of the most breathtaking terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai District.

Day 5: Tu Le – Return To Hanoi (BL)

Embark on the journey back to Hanoi, following the ancient paths that offer picturesque countryside views. Make a stop at the tea hill in Nghia Lo for an additional cultural experience. Enjoy lunch at a local food stall along the way.

Continue the afternoon trip back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon. Bid farewell to your guide and driver as you are dropped off at your familiar Hanoi hotel.
