Itinerary Details
Day 1: Hanoi – Mu Cang Chai. Homestay Mu Cang Chai (L/D)
Morning Exploration:
Embark on a new day of exploration as we venture into the remote landscapes of Northwest Vietnam. Our guide and driver will pick you up from your Hanoi hotel, leading you westward out of the city along National Highway No. 32 towards Nghia Lo district in Yen Bai province.
En route, soak in the scenic beauty of Vietnam’s mountains, capturing breathtaking photos of green tea hills, terrace fields, and Khau Pha Pass. Reach Nghia Lo for additional enjoyment and proceed to Tu Le, where you’ll take a break and savor lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon & Evening Adventures:
Continue your journey along mountainous roads, encountering diverse mountain scapes as you arrive in Tu Le. Explore the captivating landscape of mountains and valleys, marveling at the beautiful rice terraces in Tu Le, Van Ban district of Yen Bai province. Mu Cang Chai awaits with its stunning terrace rice fields and local life. Have dinner with a local family and spend the night in a communal stilt house.
Note: The stilt house accommodation is standard and shared. It is safe and clean. Additional charges apply for those wishing to have a private room in a stilt house or guesthouse.
Day 2: Mu Cang Chai – Nghia Lo – Tu Le – Hanoi (B/L)
Morning Adventures:
Rise early to immerse yourself in the morning life of the Mu Cang Chai village, savoring the tranquility and the symphony of sounds from animals, chickens, and pigs that enhance the peaceful atmosphere.
After a family breakfast, your guide will lead you to explore the most beautiful terrace fields in Mu Cang Chai. Capture the beauty of Che Cu Nha Rice Terrace Field belonging to the Hmong people. Visit and photograph Che Xu Phinh and La Phan Tan, recognized as national landscapes of Vietnam in 2007, boasting the most famous and picturesque terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai District. Return to Mu Cang Chai for lunch at a local food stall.
Afternoon Explorations:
In the afternoon, bid farewell to Mu Cang Chai as you head to Nghia Lo and then make your way back to Hanoi. Revisit the enchanting terrace fields along the route.
