Itinerary Details

Day 1: Sapa – Bat Xat – Muong Hum Sunday Market – Y Ty. Homestay in Y Ty Village (L/D)

Morning Explorations:

Commence the tour from your Sapa town hotel with our guide and driver, embarking on a journey to Muong Hum market in the Bat Xat district of Lao Cai province. Located approximately 46 km from Sapa town, this market operates exclusively on Sundays.

As you travel, you’ll traverse the O Quy Ho Pass, situated 10 km from Sapa town. Progress along the right-hand route, passing through Khoang village and onward to Ta Giang Phinh village, offering captivating views of terraced rice fields against the backdrop of the Five Finger Mountain (Ngũ Chỉ Sơn).

Upon reaching Muong Hum market, our guide will lead you through the market, providing insights into its history and cultural significance. Muong Hum market is a vibrant gathering of five distinct tribal groups: Giay, Flower Dao, Green Hmong, Ha Nhi, and Tay. The market bustles with activity from morning to noon, as people from various distant villages converge to trade agricultural products, handicrafts, and more.

Afternoon & Evening Adventures:

Enjoy a local food lunch at Muong Hum market or travel to Y Ty Commune center when departing from Muong Hum to Y Ty.

Capture stunning photos of the picturesque Lu rice fields, the Den Sang cardamom forest, and Nhi Cu San mountain, situated on the border between Vietnam and China. Visit a local Ha Nhi house to witness the uniqueness of their dwellings constructed with mud, bamboo, and wood. Spend additional time capturing beautiful village scenes and cloud formations, particularly from May to September.

Return to the village, where you’ll have dinner with the family, engaging in conversations about their life, culture, and work. Overnight in a stilt house.

Day 2: Y Ty – Sapa (B/L)

Morning Explorations:

Explore Y Ty village further, capturing more photos of local life, villagers, and the stunning terrace fields in Y Ty. Ascend to the summit of Ngai Thau Thuong mountain for the most breathtaking cloudy photos.

Take advantage of the opportunity to wander around the village, immersing yourself in authentic life and captivating scenery. Enjoy lunch at a local food stall in Y Ty center.

Afternoon Adventures:

Depart Y Ty and return to Sapa town, once again passing through the O Quy Ho Pass and arriving back in Sapa in the late afternoon. Take advantage of the journey to stop and capture beautiful mountain scenery, concluding your adventure with wishes for a wonderful time!
