Itinerary Details
Day 1: Sapa – Cat Cat Trek – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai. Homestay In Lao Chai ~ 14 Km (L/D)
Morning Activities:
Embark on your journey from the hotel in Sapa town in the morning, commencing the trek towards Cat Cat village, a 3km distance from the town center. Marvel at the picturesque waterfall located at the base of the hill, and take in the breathtaking views of terrace fields and the surrounding scenery.
The adventure continues as we turn towards Y Linh Ho, covering a trekking route of 2 km through rice terraces, offering splendid views of their natural beauty. Y Linh Ho is the home of the Hmong ethnic people, boasting rice terraces that have been cultivated for around a century. This presents a unique opportunity to engage with the Hmong minority culture and lifestyle. Lunch will be served en route.
Afternoon & Evening Activities:
Embark on a further trek to Lao Chai, another Hmong village, where you’ll have ample time to witness the spectacular terrace fields in the Muong Hoa valley. Traverse soil paths, immerse yourself in local life, and savor the landscapes. Check into a homestay, share dinner with the local family, and spend the evening interacting with them, gaining insights into their work and culture. Overnight at a stilt house.
Day 2: Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Ban Ho. Homestay Ban Ho Village ~ 16 Km (B/L/D)
Morning Activities:
Embark on a 16km trek through villages to enhance your experience. Rise early to absorb the atmosphere in the village and mountain area. Enjoy stunning views of terrace rice fields as you trek from Lao Chai to Ta Van village. Visit the Giay minority people, who typically settle close to rivers for fishing. Witness Giay people working in the fields, cultivating vegetables, and harvesting rice.
Continue your journey, hiking through Giang Ta Chai village, passing through bamboo forests, and reveling in the stunning scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way.
Afternoon & Evening Activities:
Extend your hike by another 6km to reach Ban Ho village, home to the Tay minority people. Experience their unique stilt houses, distinguishing them from other ethnic groups. Dine with the family, delving into their culture, local life, and sampling local food and wine. Overnight at a stilt house in Ban Ho village.
Day 3: Further Trek Ban Ho – Nam Toong – Sapa ~ 8 Km (B/L)
Morning Activities:
Awaken early to the sounds of the mountain area, tend to animals like chickens and pigs, just like the locals. Enjoy breakfast with the family before departing Ban Ho village, embarking on a 3km hike to reach Nam Toong village.
Nam Toong village is the residence of the Red Dao minority people, and weather permitting, you can take a refreshing swim in the cool river. A picnic lunch will be provided along the way.
Afternoon Activities:
Leave Ban Ho village and return to Sapa town via private car. Travel along the main road, experiencing the highlands and enjoying views of the villages you traversed, along with the picturesque valleys and villages nestled among terrace fields. Return to Sapa around 16.30 pm, concluding your delightful journey with us in discovering these beautiful villages!
